Chloé Cailleton Born in Cholet , France , Chloé Cailleton started training as a jazz singer from the age of thirteen through a series of encounters with, among others, David Linx, Diederick Wissels and Eric Bibb. She pursued her studies at the Conservatory of Nantes, where her encounters with musicians influenced by Cuban and Brazilian music and culture were to be a determining factor in her career. She very quickly achieved undisputed mastery of these styles and cultures, which became second nature to her. Chloé started her own group,
Brasil Pass , and teamed up with pianist Armel Dupas to form a jazz duo. The duo features on the first half of the Golden
Gate Quartet album, produced by Baptiste Trotignon and Bernard Lubat. Chloé and Armel also performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival ( Switzerland ). Currently Chloé is studying in the Jazz faculty at the Paris Conservatory of Music and Dance (CNMSDP), under the tuition of Ricardo Del Fra, Glenn Ferris and François Théberge. She is studying musical arrangement and composition and perfecting her already proven talent for vocal improvisation. She features on numerous albums, for example the jazz album by
Out Of The Blue (Yolk Records label), and on a hip-hop album by
Hocus Pocus (Onandon label). She also sings in the latest jazz opera by Thierry Lalo,
Le Joueur de F lûte de Hamelin .
